𝗕𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗻. With his 5895m climb and 6-day trek up Mount Kilimanjaro coming ever closer, he has ramped up his training massively, recently climbing to the top of Ben Nevis. The summer of football is drawing to an end. By next Sunday night we will hopefully be celebrating but either way lets join in the football party in aid of our industry charity The Electrical Industries Charity. I know many of my contacts have played football over the years. This is a great opportunity to come together and play the game we love and have some fun in aid of a fantastic cause.

We want to shine a spotlight on James Ellis from UK Electric, who is currently gearing up for an incredible challenge – climbing Mount Kilimanjaro on 27th September this year!   As part of his rigorous pre-event training, James embarked on an inspiring journey last Saturday, walking an impressive 28 miles in just 8 hours and 10 minutes. Starting with the breathtaking sunrise at Kintbury, James then ventured through Combe Gibbet, indulging in a light breakfast atop the summit before delving off the beaten track around Highclere Castle. A strong climb up Beacon Hill followed, showcasing James's remarkable walking pace of 3.5mph!   Despite the final 4 miles proving tough on his feet, James's determination, fuelled by the promise of a well-deserved beer at the end, kept him going strong.
