About us
The Eric Liddell Community (Scottish Charity Number SC003147) is an Edinburgh based care charity and community hub founded in 1980 in memory of the 1924 Olympic gold medallist, Eric Liddell. We are on a mission to bring people together in their local community, to enhance their health and well-being and ultimately bring us closer to our vision of a world where no one feels lonely or isolated. We are doing this by: providing a Day Service for people living with dementia alongside a programme of activities for people living with dementia; a program of well-being activities, courses and classes for unpaid carers, and developing our vibrant community hub, at the heart of Edinburgh.

Let's recreate the iconic scene from Chariots of Fire and run (or walk!) together along Portobello Beach on the 2nd of December to raise vital funds for our charity! This event is kindly hosted by EMMS International, our unique partner, with whom we were initially introduced in relation to The Eric Liddell 100, as there is a family link between Eric Liddell and EMMS International. Following discussions about their involvement in The Eric Liddell 100, they learned more about our charity and the services we provide to people living with dementia and they have kindly decided to support our charitable work. So, if you want to support a good cause, we cannot wait to see you in Portobello in a month! https://lnkd.in/e47yerx3
