🚨 Workshops! 🚨 Did you know we deliver workshops on FGM? A few weeks ago, we attended the GLOW conference at The University of Edinburgh, and delivered our first-ever in-person FGM workshop titled: "FGM Education: What a Frontline Worker needs to know" The workshop was hosted by our co-founder Dr Victoria Kinkaid FRSA and our social media manager Vidhi Naik. 🌍 Exciting Updates from The FGM Education Project! 🌍 We’re thrilled to share some recent milestones from our ongoing mission to educate all UK frontline professionals on FGM to help #EndFGM 🌐 Research: Our initial findings have been presented nationally, and we are working to publish more work on this topic! 🤝 Collaborations and Partnerships: We’ve partnered with health organizations, NGOs, and local leaders to amplify our message and provide comprehensive support to affected women and girls. Together, we are stronger in our fight against FGM. 📢 Awards: Our 2 co-founders Dr Heather May Morgan FHEA FRSA and Dr Victoria Kinkaid FRSA have been awarded for their work in this field, from Kindnessrules and WeAreTheCity respectively. 🏛 Parliament recognition: Parliament tabled a motion recognising the efforts of our project and the course on educating frontline professionals on FGM. 🤝 Collaboration: We are actively partnering with other charities and organisations that share our aims.
