Early on in my trip, I realized that there was not much overlap between solo travel and disability travel. That prompted me to set about making a new world record: a challenge that required me to submit over 2000 pieces of evidence. So, every time someone signed a statement for me on my travels, they started following my journey. 10 expectations to let go of in your 30s (that I learnt the hard way): 1. You need to have kids ASAP 2. You need to be married ASAP 3. You need to buy a house ASAP 4. You need to have your dream career 5. You need to stop having fun, be serious 6. You need to tick off your entire bucket list 7. You can’t go travelling or take solo adventures 8. You can control what other people think of you 9. You can neglect your health because you’re young 10. You can’t be the boss if you’re (to be) a new parent. I thought I needed everything figured out by 30. But guess what? I turned 30, then 31, 32, and now I’m in my 40s… I’m still figuring it out. And that’s okay.
