The contenders were under starters orders and the adrenaline was indubitably pumping as the team at the 5-star Soho Hotel Refuel Bar competed in a hi-octane #brokenclockvodka cocktail competition. The contest saw a wide array of cocktail styles being shaken and stirred in the Kit Kemp styled surroundings of this plush classic-automotive themed brasserie. Judges sipped on a tangy Broken Gimlet made with apple, sage and peas while the 16th-Century-inspired Sundial Royal was laced with lemon sorbet, watermelon, wood sorrel and elderberry tincture. The line up also featured a deftly crafted Summery Strawberry Rhubarb Gimlet as well as Garden Delights; a supremely peachy summer punch. But the winning cocktail by a whisker was the Timeless Bramble Twist, a colourful concoction crowned with homemade blackberry pearls and a striking lemon twist. Its complex recipe consisted of our #awfullyenglish vodka combined with apple, lavender, lemon juice, orange cordial and crème de mure. This more-ish creation was inspired by the hotel’s cosmopolitan Soho neighbourhood – where the Bramble cocktail was invented in the 1980s – as well as the bucolic North Yorkshire moors, renowned for the fragrant purple lavender fields of the Howardian Hills as well as the idyllic English country garden at Shandy Hall where we gather the ingredients for our characterful vodka’s recipe. A little look back at this week’s World Martini Day collaborations with #brokenclockvodka 🍸🍸 We teamed up with the undercover cocktail operatives at Raffles Hotels & Resorts Spy Bar at the OWO for a bespoke selection of covert cocktails along with some limited edition bottled cocktails, which we hand made ready to be gifted to influential hospitality contacts. And we were also in cahoots with another secretive cocktail hangout - The Blind Spot at St Martins Lane London - who created a trio of luxurious martinis for this annual celebration of the most classic of cocktails. And the good news is there’s still time to taste the tempting tipples at both venues as they are being served until the end of the month. Bottoms up!

Clockwork Elixir is a fruity pick-me-up that’s now being served up at the Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Bar in Knightsbridge, and it’s an irresistible potion that’ll tickle your fancy from its frothy first sip to the last silk gulp. Here bar maestro Maurizio is shaking up #brokenclockvodka with cranberry juice, pineapple juice, strawberry syrup and lime, along with a couple of mint leaves for a fresh and leafy touch.

The clock is ticking… ⏰ The next couple of days are your last opportunity to get your hands on these two rather terrific cocktails at Barrio Bars and The Cocktail Club as part of the current Flavour of the Month activation. Step into Barrio’s latin playground and work those hips with an Hour-Chita in hand; a canny twist on the classic white Russian that combines our #lingeringvodka with Kahlúa and a creamy horchata mix – rice milk spiced with cinnamon. And after that one can escape the mechanical ticking of modern life by descending into one of the atmospheric Cocktail Club drinking holes. Here you can easily lose track of time by sipping on a Rosemary Hourglass; a characterful garden inspired martini combining our #englishvodka with bergamot and rose liqueur, white crème de cacao, SEASN light bitters and a flaming rosemary garnish. It’s been splendid seeing Broken Clock Vodka as Flavour of the Month and our #awfullyenglish vodka will remain on the backbar for the foreseeable too.

“One of the nicest cocktails I’ve had in a long time” #brokenclockvodka stepped into celebrity chef Prue Leith’s Cotswold kitchen where she and her husband John rustled up an #awfullyenglish food and drink pairing. In the 4th episode of Prue’s rather mouth-watering ITV series, the gregarious twosome supped on a Broken Clock herb garden vodka and tonic as an accompaniment to a tempting dish of trout - caught by John himself - with a mixed grain salad with red roasted peppers. John showed off his bartending skills by stirring up this terrific twist on a V&T with a liberal splash of homemade basil syrup, a drop of dry vermouth and a generous measure of our characterful English country garden vodka. It was quite the #awfullyenglish occasion as timeless automotive craftmanship, #brokenclockvodka tipples and a rather exclusive apparition dazzled guests at H.R. Owen Rolls Royce in Mayfair. This somewhat exclusive soirée in Rolls Royce’s plush central London showroom was part of the countdown to this year’s swanky Salon Prive events. And it was also a rare opportunity to admire a bespoke Rolls Royce Ghost, showcased especially for guest to recline in with a snifter in hand. And as guests clutched their cocktails they were serenaded by a masterful musical duo of roaming saxophonist and DJ, behind her own wheels of steel. Broken Clock happily hopped into the passenger seat with London Essence and the bar team from the 5-star Raffles Hotels & Resorts at the OWO who served up some riveting refreshments, including this canny cocktail.
