What a night! ✨ Turnaround work generally goes on quietly behind the scenes, and the hard working people who are out each day saving jobs and preserving shareholder value don’t get much recognition. Once a year, we change that, and recognise some of the incredible work of our members. It was an absolute pleasure to address the turnaround community at The IFT annual awards dinner last night. Thanks to the amazing IFT team who work so hard to make this event a success, and congratulations to all of the well deserving winners 🥳 I hope everyone isn’t feeling too tired today 😁

On Thursday Evening, the team from Grainger & Worrall attended the The IFT Awards evening, where they won the award for Mid Market Turnaround of the Year. It was fabulous that this incredible turnaround was suitably recognised and personally I was thrilled to have been a part of that team achieved such a positive outcome for this 77 year old business. It was a project which needed a large number of stakeholders to work together in order to get this result. This included, (not in any particular order), shareholders, funders, employees, customers, suppliers, all of whom were suitably assisted by a number of very supportive advisors. From my perspective I would particularly like to thank two other members of the IfT who were integral in making this turnaround a success, Andrew Burn and Alun Tribe. Working alongside you both has been a great experience. I would also like to thank Grainger family for getting me involved with their company in the first instance. It was a project that as ever had its highs and lows, and whilst I am sure there will remain some hurdles to overcome I would like to wish the ongoing team at G&W every success.
