About us
The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious awards for UK businesses, previously known as The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise. The Awards recognise and celebrate business excellence in innovation, international trade, sustainable development and promoting opportunity (through social mobility). Awardees receive a Grant of Appointment and a trophy presented by one of HM Lord-Lieutenants, and are able to display the Award Emblem for up five years. They also have access to a thriving alumni network of previous award winners. Recipients of the Award often state that their achievement has opened new doors for them in terms of securing new contracts, venturing into new markets, and further developing their business. Applications for the 2024 Awards open 6 May 2023.

This week, I had the immense honour of promoting the King's Award for Enterprise to this year's aspiring businesses, alongside Deputy Lieutenants James Leavesley, Josie Morris MBE DL, and Hannah Ault DL, at the Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce. It has been 15 months since we proudly received the prestigious King's Award for Enterprise. Reflecting on the journey since then, I am struck by the profound impact it has had personally on me, our team, and the future of ProtectaPet. Since earning the license to display the internationally renouned 'Crown' 👑 our B2C export sales have surged by an impressive 59% 🚀 However, the numbers only tell part of the story. We've drawn in exceptional talent, and our vision, mission, and values have been validated by the highest possible recognition. Most importantly, we've protected countless cats from the dangers of free-roaming, safeguarded wildlife from predation, and spared thousands of cat owners from the heartache of loss.
