SINGAPORE | We had an insightful breakfast briefing yesterday, hosted by our board member Gita De Beer, to discuss The Power of Marketing Measurement, and what an insightful morning it was. The session, in partnership with Ekimetrics, brought together industry leaders Olivier Kuziner (Ekimetrics), Cheryl Lee (L'Oréal) and Chiradeep Gupta (Unilever) to discuss the power of data and measurement in marketing. The session highlighted the perfect blend of creativity, precision, and bold decision-making that defines the marketing profession. 💡 Chiradeep Gupta reminded us, “Sometimes we forget the lost art of spending time with our customers” and stressed that whilst data is essential, balancing it with human connection remains key. He also emphasised shifting AI’s focus from efficiency to effectiveness, measuring return on effort (ROE). 💡Cheryl Lee highlighted the importance of combining data with intuition, and that leveraging accurate marketing metrics can significantly enhance decision-making processes, leading to more effective strategies and better return. 💡Olivier Kuziner showcased the power of data and measurement and one insight that stood out was the 'Love and Hate' chart, illustrating the emotional rollercoaster we navigate as marketers. We learnt that marketing is not just about numbers and data—it’s an art that requires creativity, a science that demands precision, and the courage to take bold steps.
