Announcement ⚡ It's with the utmost disappointment that we have had to withdraw from attending the CP conference tomorrow due to my daughter having a D&V bug that hasn't improved. She's become very unsettled and leaving her for 48 hours whilst still unwell doesn't sit right. The CP conference is the highlight of our year and I'm extremely gutted to have had to make this decision. We had a fantastic engaging duel-stand planned but unfortunately, I've had to make the difficult choice to remain with my daughter. Make a decision, Your casualty doesn't have all day.🪫 • Complete your assessment. • Obtain your casualties baseline. • Reflect on what your patient needs. • Consider where your patient needs to be. • Ask yourself if you can provide these needs. • Identify any alternative pathways / resources. • Collaborate, discuss and make a decision. Do you stay in situ OR do you constitute an extrication and conveyance plan? Trauma isn't easy and it's more than just an algorithm. Sometimes you are not the person the patient needs.
