Supporting small sustainable businesses with their administrative and bookkeeping tasks (and everything in between) is what brings me joy. I love to work with entrepreneur or companies who put the environment, the people and sustainable development at the core of their values. You can see me as your Executive Assistant who supports you on an ad-hoc basis for all your administrative and bookkeeping needs, remotely, from my home in North Yorkshire. Think of any task that takes you a lot of time, or energy, but does not make your life any easier or grow your business, that’s what I do! You can outsource one-off tasks (project management, creation of standard operating procedure, filing structure…) or on-going tasks (email and diary management, customer service, invoicing, credit control…), and anything in between. The main raisons my customers come to me are: *To relieve pressure of an overcrowded to do list *To dedicate time and energy developing their business rather than those time-consuming admin tasks *The flexibility of only using a VA when they need to, saving them time and money What else? Oh! I’m also a certified yoga teacher, and I'm apparently mastering the weirdest French/North Yorkshire accent!

Rethinking Business Jargon: How Words Shape a Healthier Work Culture. In your business, the language you use can significantly impact the culture and well-being of your team. Phrases like "a lead is dead" or "this is an emergency" might sound like harmless business jargon, but they often add unnecessary pressure, creating a high-stress environment that can lead to burnout and disengagement. 💼🔥 Let’s face it—business is important, but it shouldn't dominate our lives or define our self-worth. When we label a situation as an "emergency," we inadvertently signal that it requires immediate attention, often at the expense of our health, personal time, or even more critical tasks. Similarly, calling a lead "dead" can come across as overly dramatic, creating a sense of finality that stifles creativity and problem-solving. Why not reframe these situations with language that acknowledges their importance without overdramatizing them? Our words shape our reality. If we consistently speak in terms that elevate every situation to crisis level, we train ourselves—and our teams—to operate in a constant state of stress. This isn't sustainable, and it certainly isn't healthy. Have a look at 5 actionable thoughts to help shift your workplace language and create a healthier environment in the full article on The Office Elf blog: https://lnkd.in/ebka2e3f And let’s commit to choosing our words more thoughtfully. By adopting a more balanced approach to how we communicate, we can reduce unnecessary stress and create a more positive, productive work environment. After all, business is just one part of life—not the whole picture. Let’s keep it that way. 🌟 Share more tips on creating a healthier work culture! #WorkLifeBalance #PositiveWorkCulture #MindfulLeadership #StressFreeWork #HealthyWorkEnvironment
