We're excited to share that the Black and White Building has been honoured with the RIBA 2024 London Award. Once again, Fora ’s timber workspace has been acknowledged for its pioneering ambition and innovation. Standing proudly as London’s tallest timber building in Shoreditch, it reflects our unwavering commitment to craftmanship and sustainability. Utilising sustainably sourced timber and solar panels, it’s achieved over a 50% reduction in carbon compared to traditional structures, meeting the RIBA 2030 Climate Challenge metrics. This innovative collaboration with Waugh Thistleton Architects, who designed the building, has also earned us the prestigious 2024 RIBA London Client of the Year award. Looking ahead, we're excited to keep pushing the boundaries of innovation, sustainability, and design excellence, leading the way in creating spaces that inspire and elevate the everyday work experience.

We are thrilled to partner with Future Frontiers, an award-winning charity dedicated to supporting disadvantaged youth through career coaching. In the UK, family income remains the strongest predictor of one's future. Youth from low-income backgrounds face barriers to academic success, higher education, and fulfilling employment. #FutureFrontiers is changing this narrative. As a proud partner, we've witnessed firsthand the tremendous impact that Future Frontiers has on young lives. Their guidance empowered our team members to support students in exploring career aspirations and unlocking their potential—an opportunity greatly valued by everyone involved. During an intensive 4-week coaching initiative, these volunteers supported students to identify their career goals and build a career action plan. Kudos to all who took part and dedicated their time to such an important effort!   Barry S. Volunteering with brands rooted in community, like Magic Breakfast, makes our work even more fulfilling as an organisation. Looking back on last year, we were proud to engage in redecorating a local school, collecting donations, and distributing breakfast to children in need across London. This month, we're excited to bring back our member breakfasts and lunches across Fora in support of the #GreatBigBreakfast. It's a wonderful initiative that not only brings people together over food but also raises funds to provide meals for hungry children

Inspiring the next generation of the workplace and beyond has always been close to our hearts. This year is no exception, and we're thrilled to announce that our Makers & Mentors initiative, developed under The Office Group in collaboration with POoR Collective, has won the Inspire Future Generations Awards 2023 in the mentoring category. Through this initiative, we provided emerging designers with the invaluable experience of working on a live client project—creating sustainable furniture for The Black & White Building. Congratulations to all involved!
