When a celebration of Harvest Festival resulted in the residents at Windsor Street arranging a collection for their local Food Bank. 💙 Team and residents at Windsor Street care centre in Cheltenham have made the decision to focus their festivities on Harvest Festival. This decision has given everyone the chance to reflect on the beauty of autumn and the importance of giving back to the community - With residents even arranging a collection for the local Food Bank, Caring for Communities and People. By collecting canned goods, cereals and other essentials, the goal has been to support other families in need, truly marking the beauty of the festival. We've been wearing it pink to raise awareness for people living with Breast Cancer. 💙 This month, many of our homes have been wearing pink to not only raise awareness but also vital finds to support Breast Cancer Research. Whether that's wearing pink clothing, painting our nails, or even drinking a pink drink, we've been creative in the ways that we've introduced this flare on colour. We're proud to continue supporting other charities and worthy causes close to our hearts. 💙 #osjct #wearitpink

When we celebrated a vow renewal after 63 years and a wedding blessing on the same day💙 63 years ago, Josie and Eddie tied the knot after meeting at their job at the BMW Group in Cowley. This month, they decided to renew their vows in the presence of family, friends and team members at Isis House care home in Oxford. The ceremony was also attended by Bob, HR Director at BMW Group where they first met. But what made this occasion extra special? Josie and Eddie's granddaughter, Grace, received her wedding blessing to Husband James in the same ceremony. We are so proud to be a part of Josie, Eddie, Grace and James's special day and this will certainly be one for the history books. When Marianne met Susan at Windsor Street care home, it wasn't clear what her future would be. But after dedicated, focussed care, Susan's life changed. 💙 Hear this inspirational story from Marianne's perspective working as a carer at Windsor Street. Susan had been referred into her care, and through the dedication of Marianne and her team, she was supported and encouraged to walk again, despite an alternative prognosis. Our care is person-centered, focusing on ensuring the best quality of life for those living with us - Even if that is on a temporary basis. Are you thinking about care for a loved one? Watch a moment from our recent visit by the Armonico Consort, who stopped by on their Sing and Cycle for Dementia trip! 💙 We were delighted to welcome musicians from the Consort who sang and played for our residents at Marston Court and Meadowcroft, alongside TV presenter, wine expert and singer Oz Clarke. The musicians entertained residents with Armonico’s trademark mix of beautiful Baroque music and well-known songs. Our residents and team were encouraged to sing along, clap and play percussion instruments - As seen in this video! 🌟 You can read more about this visit here: https://lnkd.in/esv5HMtf

Yesterday marked #WorldMentalHealthDay, and many of our homes, schemes and office teams marked the day. 💙 From coffee mornings to simply taking time out to chat, or ensuring mental health resources were available around the home, by putting mental health first we can be sure that our residents are well supported. Pictured are the wonderful team at Ridgeway House, who enjoyed cupcakes to mark the day! 💙

THIS is what we mean when we say that volunteering can make a huge difference 💙 👏 Thank you Adaptive Care for making a difference in our gardens! If your company wants to volunteer at one of our homes, drop us a DM!
Today, our amazing team came together to give back to the community by volunteering at the The Orders of St John Care Trust's Larkrise Care Centre in Banbury! 💪✨ It may have been a bit cold and wet in classic British style, but we had a fulfilling day connecting with one another whilst supporting the residents by building new planters that will allow them to continue pursuing their passion for gardening. Currently, the home has some old, raised beds that have seen better days, and we’re excited to replace them with sturdy new timber, ensuring they can once again thrive with beautiful flowers chosen by the residents. 💜 Coming together like this not only strengthens our connections but also aligns us in our shared mission, empowering us to do our best for Adaptive Care and our incredible partners and customers. A big thank you to everyone involved in making this happen!
