The Oxford Science Park (TOSP) supports the re-opening of the Cowley Branch Line (CBL) to passengers. The project will sustainably, quickly and affordably restore a rail link, closed to the public for 50 years, to create two new stations in East Oxford, including one at The Oxford Science Park. The line would connect significant employment sites and residential areas to Oxford's city centre in under ten minutes, and help to ease congestion by taking traffic off Oxford's overburdened roads. It would also provide a new direct service to London Marylebone running twice hourly, and improve connectivity with other parts of the UK. The Oxford Science Park, along with other leading organisations in East Oxford, such as the Ellison Institute of Technology Oxford and ARC | Advanced Research Clusters, believe that reviving this infrastructure would be truly transformative, not least for bringing greater opportunities to science & technology companies and enabling world-class innovation to thrive. Take a look at the new video from Oxford City Council to hear more about the benefits of re-opening the line. #CampaignforCowleyBranchLine https://lnkd.in/eUTi852i Oxfordshire County Council - Network Rail - Department for Transport (DfT), United Kingdom - Advanced Oxford - Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP)
