  • It is amazing that most Payment businesses (and non-payment businesses too) still don't fully interact with their potential customers through their website. At best they will have a contact form to complete and then the user has to wait for someone to contact them, usually at a time that no longer suits them. The majority of new business owners and entrepreneurs are from a generation that expects a better digital experience than they are currently receiving. There is some great tech in this space. For example, did you know that Live Chat and Chatbots are easily integrated into your website. Chatbots can even set specific appointments for your Sales people to contact the enquiry maker at the right time that suits them. You can even link the chat experience to your Facebook Messenger page or Whatsapp account or even go straight into a video chat in a virtual meeting room.   • It's been a really interesting week so far talking to a number of ISO businesses about the pricing that they go out to their merchants with. With a number of main banks moving their Debit Card issuance to MasterCard from Visa it has had a material impact on the base cost that ISOs have for the transactions they process via an Aquirer. However, they are not always aware of the difference and in some cases I have seen have ended up selling Merchant Services at a loss because of it. We at The Payment Mentor Network understand the challenges that ISOs face in creating robust pricing models that reward both the seller and the ISO in todays price sensitive market.
