Our ChYPS group meets once a month to share, support each other and have fun together. In February the group continued thinking about things that help us to cope with and manage our feelings. 💛 For this session we used dried lavender to make a scented muslin bag and we chose different scents to make bath salts. All the young people enjoyed thinking about and choosing their own favourite aromas which they get to keep and to use in their own quiet time. Aromatherapy is also proven to enhance physical and emotional wellbeing and aromas can help us to feel comforted and relaxed. This group is a support group where children and young people from 5 to 12 can join their peers who have similar expereinces. As part of our Day Hospice Living Well Programme our team recently provided a gentle seated exercises session for our patients. 💛 These exercises help our patients to maintain mobility, strength and balance and they are something they can do safely at home, promoting independence.
