Hope and healing through meditation and yoga

About us

The Prison Phoenix Trust encourages prisoners in the development of their spiritual welfare, through the practices of meditation and yoga, working with silence and the breath. We offer personal support to prisoners around the UK and the Republic of Ireland through teaching, workshops, correspondence, books and newsletters – and to prison staff too. We work with people of any faith, or of none, and honour all religions.

  • Colleagues at The PPT will be in London on Saturday 2 November at SOAS University of London (School of Oriental & African Studies) for the SOAS-BWY Autumn Yoga Summit   Please come and see us at this unique event. Discover more about The PPT’s work in bringing yoga and meditation practice to people in prison - part of a day of learning, reflection and discussion on the power of practice.   Particular highlights for us would be Professor Rosie Meek’s work on how powerful yoga and meditation can be for prison officers as well as inmates - particularly in this time of increased pressure in the UK’s prison system. @rosiemeek   Register here https://lnkd.in/eC3bUN5e   Stay tuned for more from our recent training weekend, introducing established teachers to the specifics of bringing practice to people in prison.
