OK, by now you've likely seen the rebrand – but here’s how it all unfolded and who made it happen. I couldn’t have predicted that last year at Deeper Weekend, I’d meet the team at We are PF and end up here a year later with a rebrand that feels like YBL in its truest form. The experience with them has been beyond anything I expected, and I genuinely mean that. At first, I saw them a few times and thought, OK another marketing agency.. boy was I wrong. - You force us to dig deep to figure out who we serve ☑️ - Even deeper to find out who we are ☑️ - You only work with accountants??? ☑️ - Amazing people ☑️ But what really hooked me was the PF advocates all over the room (I seriously asked Karen Reyburn, if they were paying people to talk about them). The energy was unreal, the buzz from everyone else who’d worked with them was wild, and knowing we were on the cusp of our next phase, I thought – OK, I'm all in, let's do this. My favourite part of the way PF works is the Foundation's program that truly felt like brand therapy in the best possible way. They force you to dig deep. Who are we, really? Who’s our ideal client? What do they fear? What emojis would we use in our brand voice? Is “darn” a swear word? (what). Admittedly, after they'd ask some questions, I'd ask myself, "what does this matter?" It matters. Every detail matters. Their level of detail is beyond meticulous, and they want you to focus on getting the brand’s core absolutely right before layering on anything else. They even show you only one logo option – in black and white – because colour evokes emotion. ONE LOGO? That's insane! No, it's not, it's perfect and shows their confidence that they've spent countless hours digging as deep as possible knowing exactly not only what you want, but more importantly, what will properly resonate with your ideal audience. Fast forward to this year’s Deeper Weekend, and our new brand has launched. Now it’s me – the one who can’t help but share the story with everyone in the room. I might as well have been walking around the room selling PF’s book, telling everyone how working with PF made the vision for YBL come alive. The thing is, they don’t even need me doing this – the work speaks for itself. Karen Reyburn was on a panel last year and her words still resonate with me: “You might get 40 leads a month and land 4 but our goal is to get you 4 leads, and you land all 4.” PF’s entire focus is helping you reach the clients who, when they see your message, think, “This is me.” The whole team is full of gems but a special shout out to Simona Bilkštė, Camilla Duggan, and Kendall Hoover– your patience, guidance, and insight made this journey what it was. I couldn’t be prouder of the result, and I’m endlessly grateful to have worked with you and the entire PF team. Thank you🙏
