    As we celebrate National Inclusion Week this week, it’s important to reflect on what it truly takes to build an inclusive workplace. Inclusion is more than just a buzzword or a policy; it requires tangible actions, consistency, and a long-term commitment from leadership. For organisations who understand that #ImpactMatters and are genuinely committed to inclusion, the first step is assessing the current climate—what’s working, what needs improvement, and how those strengths can be preserved as part of the new cultural vision.   Leaders play a crucial role in driving change. Culture shifts don’t happen in a vacuum. Leaders must not only champion the change but actively model the behaviours they want to see across the organisation. Regular communication, clear expectations, and embedding inclusivity into everyday actions is essential. A strong focus should also be placed on creating systems that promote inclusivity, especially in recruitment. Are there barriers in your hiring process? If so, now is the time to address them.
