It holds crucial details such as 𝗳𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀, 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲-𝗽𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴, and 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻’𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. These details are essential for fire responders during emergencies. By offering quick access to this information, the Secure Information Box enhances safety and efficiency in critical situations. Following the tragic Grenfell Tower disaster in 2017, the Fire Industry Association (FIA) and the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) took decisive action by introducing 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 (𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱) 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮. This legislation came into effect in January 2023 across England. These regulations state that existing 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵-𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟴 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀, 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟭 𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝟳 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘆𝘀, must appoint a responsible person. This person is responsible for maintaining hard copies of the building’s floor plans, a single-page orientation plan, and the name and UK contact details of the responsible person. All this essential information must be stored in a 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗕𝗼𝘅 (formerly known as the Premises Information Box), which should remain easily accessible for firefighters during emergencies. Suitable for internal and external location, high security British designed and manufactured (as accredited by Made in Britain - official) Secure Information Boxes (formerly known as a Premises Information Box) from The Safety Letterbox Company (RENZ UK) are tested and certified to standards Secured by Design 𝗦𝗧𝗦𝟮𝟬𝟱 𝗕𝗥𝟮. These Secure Information Boxes utilise 𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗢𝗬 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗖² mechanical keys and cylinders to enhance the overall security. 𝗔𝗕𝗟𝗢𝗬 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗖² can have 1.9 BILLION combinations making it both un-pickable and un-bumpable. Following the Code of Practice for the Provision of Secure Information Boxes, it ensures accessibility and integrity even in the most challenging situations.
