𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗲𝗯𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲? Before anyone starts to trust you, most people in your social network will want to know more about your business. So, how will they do that? They’ll hop off your Facebook page, Instagram channel or Twitter feed, and try to find you on Google. But what if you don't have a website? - If you don't have a website, they will most likely give up looking, and find someone who does have one. - Without a website, you’ll leave potential customers hanging, and cut off those who like to do a bit more research before they part with their pennies. Can your business afford for that to happen? https://lnkd.in/d4-bD-3H

The Yellow Pages - do you remember this? What about J R Hartley? - From the TV advert promoting the British Yellow Pages in 1983? That was over 40 years ago (𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘺𝘦𝘵?!) Back then, The Yellow Pages was how we looked for companies that fulfilled any need that we may have. We'd find their listing and give them a call. Using instinct to see if they were a good fit for what we needed. Now instead we look online, we 'Google' it. We search for a company that fulfils our need, we take a look at their website and then form an opinion based on what we find. If 50% of internet users say that website design has an impact on their opinion of a company, you definitely want that impact to be positive. What does your website say about your company? #SeedsOfThought

First Impressions Count ... ... whether it be work, school, social settings or business. Like it or not, how we show up and present ourselves to others leaves a lasting impression. - Are we friendly, polite, helpful, professional? - Are we rude, arrogant, self-important, self-serving? First impressions help us to decide who someone is and what they stand for. First impressions help us to decide if we trust someone and if we respect them. Business Websites - your first impression to a potential customer, client and supplier. Design - how something looks, feels and functions. How does your Business Website look, feel and function? What does your Business Website say about your business? First Impressions matter - always. #SeedsOfThought

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝘁? Is it: - painting? - drawing? - music? - business?! (𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴?!) Two Dictionary Definitions for 'Art' are: 1. the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination 2. a skill at doing a specified thing, typically one acquired through practice Both of these apply to running a business. So, business is 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘆 art. #SeedsOfThought #QuoteOfTheWeek

𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 - 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗶𝘁? 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻? When we think of 'Branding' as consumers, we often think of a company name, company colours, a company logo. But a brand is much more than a logo and company name. - Consider a product you purchase or use regularly that you like? How do you feel when you think of that item? How do you feel about the business that creates it? - Now, consider a product that you dislike using? Why do you dislike it? How does that make you feel about the company that creates it? Emotion is used by a lot of incredibly successful brands, and those brands focus on selling an emotion or feeling as much as they focus on selling their product. Emotions or feelings are just one element that makes up the concept of branding. Read our article - https://lnkd.in/ePVs-Zit - to find out what other elements help make up the whole concept branding.

Branding. Design. What's the difference? Is there a difference? We find that small businesses are often confused about what branding really is - they merge branding with design believing it to be the same thing. They are connected but they're really 𝗻𝗼𝘁 the same. Here's a quote that might help to explain it. #QuoteOfTheWeek
