It's getting cold in Wales, putting people sleeping rough at risk. If you see someone sleeping rough this winter, here's how you can help 💜 1️⃣ Check their welfare: If it's safe, approach and ask how they are. Sometimes a simple gesture can mean the world. If they need emergency healthcare assistance, dial 999. 2️⃣ Register with local authorities or StreetLink (All Wales): Help by registering individuals sleeping rough with local authorities or using StreetLink to connect them with support services. 3️⃣ Ask if they need anything: A kind word or offering assistance can go a long way. Sometimes, a human connection offers a different kind of warmth. 4️⃣ Donate winter essentials: Reach out to your local Wallich service to see if they're in need of new, good quality items like winter gear and boots. Your generosity could provide much-needed warmth. ✨ Service Spotlight - Story Project ✨ Our creative arts project, held a show called 'Two Sides of a Struggle' at USW with theatre company The Other Room. They wrote and performed a piece highlighting the struggles of getting mental health GP appointments. Our new CEO was in attendance with The Wallich members and supporters of the project. To end the performance, our performers held a Q and A session. Congratulations on a fantastic and thought-provoking performance that we hope to take elsewhere.
