About us

The Whiteley Clinic is recognised as a world-leading vein clinic, specialising in endovenous treatments of varicose veins, pelvic congestion syndrome, venous leg ulcers, haemorrhoids, facial veins and many other venous conditions. Professor Mark Whiteley and Judy Holdstock performed the first "keyhole surgery" or endovenous surgery for Varicose Veins in the UK in March 1999. They invented the TRLOP procedure and in February 2019 performed the first endovenous microwave treatment of varicose veins in the UK. The Whiteley Clinic has strong links with The University of Surrey and has a strong research department. The team have over 130 peer-reviewed publications, many international and national prizes, and perform research projects for companies wanting to prove or optimise their treatments. The Whiteley Clinic was founded in Guildford, and here there is the clinic and also the research and teaching centre. There are also Whiteley Clinics in London (Bond Street) and Bristol (Clifton).
