Understanding the neuroscience behind why so much of what we believe to be true is not fact but a construct of our past experiences has been one of the most powerful aspects of my training with Reena Dayal and her organisation The Collaborators. Our thoughts are not objective truths. They are shaped by everything we have seen, felt, and learned, meaning much of what holds us back is not reality itself but the meaning we have assigned to it. The science behind this is profound. The way we perceive ourselves, our challenges, and our potential is not fixed. It is fluid, governed by neural patterns that can be understood, disrupted, and rewired with precision. Through this course, I have been working with a brilliant group to explore the many ways the brain engages with the world. A profound realisation has been that neuroscience is not just theoretical. It provides an actual infrastructure for transformation, a structured way to shift perception and behaviour at the deepest level. It is not about forcing ourselves to think differently through willpower but about understanding and leveraging the mechanisms that dictate our reality. For example, we often have an emotion, which sparks a thought, leading to a feeling and then an action. Without awareness, we can stay trapped in patterns that feel inevitable, yet they are entirely changeable when you understand how to work with them. And this is just one layer of what neuroscience brings to leadership, coaching, and human potential. The depth of understanding it offers is extraordinary. The training has revealed a vast, intricate framework that is immediately applicable, equipping us with the tools to create meaningful, lasting change. This is not just about learning. It is about mastery. It is about developing the expertise to fundamentally shift the way people think, lead, and engage with the world.

  • Cohort 1 SOLD OUT! ❤️🔥 🎊 There comes a time when we notice a shift—a new idea begins to brew and take shape. If you have been observant you would notice that traditional Leadership Development and preparing the future workforce is changing as we step into the era of AI. Harvard Business Review Januray 2025 article calls “Why “Living Intelligence” Is the Next Big Thing" McKinsey & Company Dec 24 article title called it out as - Developing a resilient, adaptable workforce for an uncertain future. This opportunity and need has been the inspiration for Reena Dayal launching the CPD accredited Applied Neuroscience Coaching (ANC) program. The best part - you get to test and trial the concepts and techniques with your own brain making the learning highly experiential and application driven. It bridges the gap between cutting-edge brain science and actionable leadership strategies. We’re focusing on how brain science and the application of these insights can elevate not just individual performance but entire organisational cultures—especially as AI reshapes work and the world begins to get more 'VUCA' -volatile, uncertain, chaotic and ambiguous - a term that has changed by quite a few notches since it was first used a few decades ago. Are you... 🧠 Ready to learn more your brain? 🧠 Ready to unlock the power of the brain in your teams? 🧠 Ready to invest in developing a future proof workforce and culture? Join a pioneering community of leaders and coaches committed to leveraging neuroscience for real, transformative change. A great summary by Lamé Verre. Thank you! I reflected as I read through that the narrative has not changed in the last few years apart from a little tinkering around. The question goes back to the one we often address in applied neuroscience coaching - leaders fall into two categories - 1) those who know these changes have to be made and 2) some who don't. ✅ 1) In that first category there are two types - first, they know changes have to be made and know what to do and how to do it. They are the ones who are leading with purpose, skill and transformational impact Second, who know it but somehow seems to notice that they are unable to bring about transformational change. They may hide behind busy-ness, others faults, too damn tough, unknown etc. ✅ 2) And those in the category who think no changes need to be made to be future -proof - well, they need to wake up and smell the roses really! No matter what category it is important to note that it is all about whether we are really using our cognitive functions well enough. Bridging Sustainability Vision with Equitable Actions | Focused on Net Zero, Energy Transition & Decarbonisation of Sectors across - Sea, Land and Buildings | Fellow Energy Institute (FEI)

As the world moves from Ambition to Action, the scale of delivery becomes more apparent, and the discussion of the skills and capability gap is now top of my mind. 63% of employers identify skills gaps as the key transformation barrier, followed by organisation culture and resistance to change at 46%. The World Economic Forum Future of Jobs Report 2025, published 7th Jan, highlights the Five Key labour Market drivers 1. Technological Change 2. Green Transition 3. Demographic Shifts 4. Geoeconomic Fragmentation 5. Economic Uncertainty However, Digital access, the cost of living, and the green transition trends are driving business transformation, while 39% of workers' skills will need to change by 2030. The top five core skills by 2030 will be 1. Analytical thinking, 2. Resilience, flexibility & agility, 3. Leadership & social influence 4. Creative thinking 5. Motivation & self-awareness Lastly, if the global workforce were 100 people - 41 would need upskilling by 2030 - 29 would be upskilled in their current role - 19 would be upskilled and redeployed - 11 would be unlikely to receive the necessary upskilling To read the full report The Future of Jobs Report 2025 | World Economic Forum - https://lnkd.in/e2QHSSSu

It's December - time to wind down and think about 2025. What's on your mind? I am following the path my clients choose to take when they find themselves at an inflection point in their life, career and business (whether positive or not so positive) - pivot and leap forward. It would be silly if I did not follow suit right?! So, outside work, I invested in a tiny second home that I am beginning to spend time each month to build my energy reserves and focus on my health and well being. It has a 'wow' feeling each time I stand out on my patio and watch the sea or go for a coastal walks. Grateful. 🌊 South Devon cosy luxury getaway - my friend calls it a very clever 'bolt hole' At work, I am launching two exciting products in 2025 that draws on my HR and coaching experience till date, my values (collaboration, adventure, wisdom), my strengths (strategic, futuristic, ideation) and my purpose (transform the world leveraging neuroscience). It has a 'gulp' feel to it - one that many of you will recognise - butterflies in the stomach. Excited. 🧠 Applied Neuroscience for Coaches programme (ANC) 🇮🇳 East Meets West Leadership Retreat - location North India Are you at an inflection point - how might you pivot in 2025 to prioritise what's important for you? Let's call a spade a spade: Inaction is a choice. 🔥 A friend stayed in a job she hated for years, telling herself, “It’s fine, I’ll deal with it.” By not making a change, she missed out on new opportunities, roles she might have loved, and peace of mind. Her fear was, "If I leave, who knows, it could be even worse..." Our brain’s wiring can sometimes go to great lengths to keep us from changing! 🔥 A couple kept brushing off their small, recurring arguments. Each time, one of them would say, “Let’s talk later.” Eventually, the silence grew so loud it drowned out the love and friendship they once shared. Every day we put off the difficult conversation, the hard decision, or the uncomfortable truth, we’re training our brain to 'stay quiet.' 🔥 Consider the CEO who avoids confronting a toxic leader because of their valuable client connections. By doing nothing, they're neglecting their responsibility and contributing to a culture of fear and disengagement. 🔥 Or the company that refuses to diversify its leadership team. By not changing, they’re choosing to risk stagnation, trapped in an echo chamber that misses out on the innovation and wisdom diversity brings. Let’s call a spade a spade—these behaviors are 'weak leadership.' If only those so-called leaders recognised it. As a coach certified in 2015 from IPEC USA, I still hold fast to a key principle we were reminded of : “The freedom of choice is the greatest freedom of all.” I know… you know… we all know… Change is uncomfortable, but staying stuck is even worse. At The Collaborators, we leverage applied neuroscience coaching to empower leaders declutter their mental landscape and train their brains to choose and collaborate effectively. It’s refreshing and empowering! 🌸 ❓ This month, may I invite you to pause and reflect—Is there anything you want to stop accepting? It could be in your personal or professional workspace. What style or approach might you take to maximise your chances of success? ❓ What do you, your team, or your business want to start saying an intentional ‘No’ or ‘Yes’ to? How will you facilitate that shift? As you answer these questions, you’re already on track to creating a new reality. Good luck. 👏 #innovation #management #neurosciencecoaching
