'Only 23% of employees worldwide fall into the engaged category' according to Gallup... whilst it's been slowly increasing, that's barely even a quarter 🤯 You don't need us to tell you that when employees are more engaged, they are more productive and effective with better business outcomes (in fact, disengagement costs roughly $8 trillion globally!!) So, what can you do to get the other 75% on board? Providing an employee experience that is personalised, whilst tied closely to your purpose, brand and culture should help. Some ways you could do this: ⭐️ Recognition and feedback ⭐️ Career development ⭐️ Performance management (goal setting and coaching) ⭐️ Customisable benefits ⭐️ Work environment Let us know below what works for you, or reach out if you'd like a discussion about how we could help you 💛

Everyone, say hello to James Walton!! 👋🏻 James is the latest Clubber to join The Culture Club as our shiny new Account Director. He's all about building strong client relationships and driving growth; delivering creative solutions that make a difference. We've been well informed that James is super excited to get stuck into some amazing projects with our fantastic clients so watch this space! 👀 Outside of work, you'll find him with his kids, playing a bit of guitar (he says he's not very good, so we'll let you know 🤣) or streaming a good series (recent faves include Succession and The Bear). If we introduced a TCC Book Club, he'd recommend Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow 📚 We are so chuffed to have James on the team and can't wait to share more with you about what he'll be getting up to! 👌

According to Deloitte, AI will help organisations 'create, understand, personalise, optimise, engage, scale, collaborate, simplify, accelerate, compete, grow, disrupt, innovate, and change.' Woah. 🤯 Generative AI should only enhance the employee experience; ensuring employees feel empowered by artificial intelligence, and not threatened, should be a key focus for employers. Creating a sense of trust is key. If you're thinking about embracing AI and changing behaviours, we'd love to help 👌

There's a few sore heads at TCC this morning... probably because we spent the night celebrating our WINS at the 75th IoIC Awards 🥳 We are beyond proud to have been recognised for our work with some fantastic organisations and to have taken home the award for Best Small Agency (for the second year running 😉). Huge shout out to everyone that's been part of these award winning projects; past and present Clubbers, our collaborators and our wonderful clients 💛 Happy Friday folks 🥂

With only a couple of days to go, we’re getting our glad rags out again for the IoIC National Awards on Thursday 💃 We are really proud to be shortlisted for several awards including Best Small Agency and as part of the IoIC’s 75th anniversary no less! Win or lose, we’ll be celebrating the great work we’ve done with Ilsa Zulji and team at Amcor, Derek Nott, Ann O'Flynn and June Barnwell at Macmillan Cancer Support and Nick Harfield at Travelport 🥳 It’s also a chance for us to reflect on the fantastic work of Grace Bush who worked her final day with us last week and has moved on to go and smash it at her new company. She doesn’t need any luck, the work she’s done on projects that have got us shortlisted for the awards demonstrate just how fab she is 🙌 Good luck Grace!

For those of you that don't know, our fabulous Client Manager Angela McGreevy is going off on maternity leave to have baby number 2 🤰🏻🥳 After a very busy few months, Ange is taking it easy before her next chapter as a family of 4 begins. So we're saying goodbye, for now, and wishing Ange and her family all the best 💛 We've got some more exciting team updates, so keep your eyes peeled 👀

So we're halfway through September already... people have started dropping the 'C' bomb 😱 As the end of the year fast approaches, how many of you are gearing up for an annual performance review? Will this involve looking ahead to 2025, or trying to remember the great work you did back in January? We know that for many, an annual review is a vital touchpoint for increasingly time poor workplaces, but do they really add value to the employee experience? We think there are much better ways to engage and motivate employees to do great work 🥳 (p.s they involve less admin and are much more fun!!) https://lnkd.in/eaYCfgsm.

We read an article this week from Harvard Business Review and it got us thinking ... 🤔 With workplaces now having up to 5 generations of people, there's a great opportunity for development, mentorship and 'wisdom management' which all supports a healthy workplace culture. Do you consider age diversity when thinking about DEI at your place? Could this be a strategic initiative to explore? 💭

Deliveroo's office has had a makeover 💁♀️ We think the new layout looks epic and we love that there's more space for employees to get together 💙 Whilst shiny new offices alone can't make or break a company's culture, they do play a huge part in the employee experience. 💭 What does your workspace offer (at home or in an office) that enhances your experience of work? Does your environment impact your output?

Whether you're calling it digital transformation, AI at work or good old fashioned 'change', we know that what's coming is going to take some really great internal comms, clear expectation management and a whole lot of behaviour change 👌 Your people might be worried that AI is going to take their jobs, thinking that they're under qualified or they could be digital transformation cheerleaders 📣 ... either way, you're going to need to work closely with your people to get them on board, or use those enthusiastic change agents to help get others on board 🚌 We love Rhett Power's take on this: 'to really make the most of it, we need to combine our technical know- how with essential human qualities like empathy, creativity and ethical thinking' 💛
