With distrust and dissatisfaction in the industry, it’s crucial to come together as a community to discuss what we can be doing to reclaim advertising as a force for connection, creativity and innovation✨ As proud media partners of today’s Advertising Who Cares? event, it was great to see such a huge turnout for this important conversation. For those that couldn’t attend today, some standout insights included: 💡The amount of money that publishers are losing to ad fraud is huge. The ANA believes that £200 billion is currently being lost to #adfraud. 💡Last year brands spent upwards of $750 billion on advertising. It’s estimated that only 6% of that is truly effective. 💡We’ve reached an epidemic of junk ads. It’s time to put the meaning, creativity and purpose back into #advertising. 48% of current audiences say they feel nothing after watching the video advertisements being shown on TV today. 💡We need to work together to encourage the next generation to consider advertising as a top career path. Currently, the morality of advertising is being questioned by Gen Z. It’s time to work together to put life back into advertising.
