We're thrilled to share the highlights from the IMI Skills Competition Master Class held at ITAS - International Technical Automotive Systems in Milton Keynes yesterday, where 6 talented finalists learnt to master some cutting-edge technology ahead of the IMI Skills Competition finals in November. The competitors were training up on the Glasurit 100 Line system, which has VOC levels 40% below EU solvent limits, setting a new standard for environmental responsibility in the industry. This advanced system allowed the finalists to work with cutting-edge technology that reduces process time by up to 40% and material consumption by 30%, all while achieving accurate colour matching across the automotive spectrum. It’s an exciting opportunity for these finalists to enhance their skills with the latest innovations in automotive refinishing. 👏 Congratulations to our finalists! You're leading the future of automotive refinishing. Find our more about IMI Skills Competitions here: https://lnkd.in/dTfKDJNA. #IMISkillsCompetition #ProudToBeIMI

📢 Support our call for the Government to do more for Automotive Following the publication of Invest 2035: The UK’s Modern Industrial Strategy green paper, the IMI is challenging the new Government on its current lack of focus on the need for automotive skills ahead of the Autumn statement. Last October, the Labour Government proposed an Automotive Strategy, which despite its initial promise, we're yet to see any further mention of. This week, our Managing Director, Azlina Bulmer, sent an 'open letter' to Jonathan Reynolds MP, Secretary of State for the Department for Business and Trade to highlight to him directly the urgent need for this Government to focus on the key challenges facing our sector. You can view the open letter, and our policy commitment to members, on our policy page here: https://lnkd.in/eWzCCUZZ. #ProudToBeIMI #UKAutomotive
