BRIG’s new exhibition, Seeking the Pioneers: Reclaiming Narratives, launched last night with support from The National Lottery Heritage Fund. The exhibition is a tribute to the trailblazers who fought against racism in Birmingham, celebrating their struggles, victories, and contributions to the city’s fight for race equality.
Three years in the making, this exhibit showcases stories from Birmingham’s rich history of race activism, ensuring these powerful narratives are preserved for future generations. Through the theme of “Passing the Baton,” BRIG hopes to inspire young activists to continue the ongoing fight against racism and discrimination in the city.
You can visit the Seeking the Pioneers: Reclaiming Narratives exhibition throughout Black History Month at BRIG's new hub of activism, the BRIG Warehouse Café, located on Allison Street, Birmingham, B5 5TH.
