An amazingly interesting, well attended, impactful #Sibcon this year in Singapore and a privilege to be there as IBIA and Star Bulk. I had the honour of participating in the Bunker Quality Dialogue panel with distinguished co-panelists Rahul Choudhuri, Michael Green, Elfian Harun and moderator Paul Collier. Important milestone meetings with Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and pleasant and insightful catch ups with friends and colleagues like Jens Maul Joergensen. And it’s not over yet. An iconic marine energy and bunkers event.

IBIA had the pleasure of meeting with David Foo, Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) Assistant Chief Executive for Operations, Yeng Hian Chua, Director (Marine Services), and Anderson Chua, Assistant Director, Marine Fuels, during SIBCON. We explored ways to further strengthen our collaboration in Singapore. We are also proud to be a partner in the Marine Energy Training Facility (METF). As part of this partnership, we’ll work closely with MPA and its other partners to shape and validate the METF’s training courses, with a focus on future fuels and technologies driving maritime decarbonisation. In addition, IBIA is pleased with our active role at SIBCON, where our Chair Constantinos Capetanakis and Vice Chair Adrian Tolson contributed as speakers and moderators, alongside the attendance of our Executive Director, Alexander Prokopakis, Asia Team: Siti Noraini Zaini and Noraini S. and many of our Global and Asia Regional Board members.  We had the opportunity to connect with many of our members and industry colleagues at the IBIA booth-B2-026, showcasing our shared commitment to driving industry standards and advancing best practices.
