The Rise of AI in the Workplace: Opportunity or Hype? As generative artificial intelligence (AI) has become increasingly popular, its usage in the workplace is not only more accepted but also more prevalent. During his ‘Don’t Believe the AI Hype’ talk at the 2024 Annual Seminar, Tom Shrive listed some possible uses for AI in the property management sector, such as: - Responding to bids and RFPs - Taking meeting minutes - Summarising reports and regulation However, he also notes that “it [AI] does sometimes make stuff up”, and that before you “action [the information], it’s really worth checking the original source”. AI promises to make our lives easier, but with talk of AI in the media often dominated by concerns of water and energy usage, job losses, and rogue models, it’s hard to get excited about the potential for AI in our sector. Understand how AI could become a source of competitive advantage in the property management sector by joining Tom Shrive and Colin Stokes for their breakout session, 'AI: From Concept to Competitive Advantage' at the 2024 Annual Conference. With just 1 week to go, don’t miss out – book your tickets now: https://lnkd.in/eUy2sHdw #AI #Annualconference #propertymanagement #tpi

The Property Institute is supporting the open letter sent to the Housing Minister today, advocating for broader adoption of the Unique Property Reference Number (UPRN). While progress has been made, there is still much more to be done. Expanding the use of the UPRN will bring significant benefits, including: - Enhanced safety for buildings, consumers, and the property market - More targeted and cost-effective enforcement of regulations - Greater protection for tenants and a crackdown on rogue landlords - A faster, more reliable home buying and selling process - Reduced waste, saving time, and empowering consumers Find out more here: https://lnkd.in/eqj44fs #PropTech #Data #UPRN
