📢 Enhancing Resilience is now a key focus for global financial authorities, driven by recent market stress events and long-term volatility. The Bank of England (BoE) has launched a System-wide Exploratory Scenario (SWES) to evaluate how financial institutions manage severe market stress. Regulatory authorities, including ESMA, CBI, and CSSF, are deploying collateral buffer regulations to ensure LDI funds withstand significant stresses without asset sales. They emphasise minimum collateral buffers of at least 300 basis points. The BoE, FCA, and The Pensions Regulator are also enhancing resilience standards for LDI funds, requiring a minimum collateral stress buffer of 250 bps, plus an operational buffer.
