Think has been working with CANSO on the GreenATM accreditation programme since the initial concept development stage in 2021. Since then, we have helped define the programme objectives, shape the content and scoring structure and have evaluated submissions from ANSPs worldwide. Yesterday Joseph Wildman and Nick Boud joined CANSO in the delivery of the first GreenATM participants group which brought together all accredited ANSPs to discuss and share their experiences of the programme. They discussed further refinements, clarity and improvements that need to be made to both the initial and the renewal accreditation processes, as well as the growing regulation that surrounds ESG accreditation schemes.

This week we're also celebrating LVNL, skyguide and skeyes receiving Level 3 in the CANSO GreenATM re-accreditation process. This is a fantastic achievement and demonstrates their continued commitment in reducing their environmental impact across their operations. It was a pleasure to be able to work with all three ANSPs again in assessing and supporting their re-accreditation. Congratulations to you all.

This week has been a week of celebration within the CANSO GreenATM environmental programme, with DSNA being the latest ANSP to receive their accreditation. DSNA have been awarded a Level 2 accreditation based on our initial review and recommendations to the CANSO accreditation panel earlier this month.  DSNA demonstrated significant efforts that they have made in key areas such as A-CDM with the implementation of capabilities to increase capacity and efficiency, high levels of PBN and their commitment to research and development into solutions that will drive further environmental improvement for the future. Congratulations to DSNA in this achievement.

Come talk to us at the SESAR Joint Undertaking Innovation Days (SIDs). We at Think have been working on SESAR continuously since 2005. At the very beginning we helped to define and structure the programme. Since then, we’ve worked on all aspects of @SESAR from communications and dissemination strategies through to concept definition and validation. Our SESAR clients include the SESAR JU itself, EUROCONTROL and multiple ANSPs across Europe. Our senior consultants, Jonathan Twigger and Maribel Tomás Rocha, will be at the SIDs to share our SESAR experience and learn from others. They’ll also be joining in celebrating the success of the young scientists that will be recognised through the SESAR Young Scientist Award.

Tonight our team in Qatar are attending the annual Qatar British Business Forum QBBF Winter Ball event. With over 400 business professionals from the region set to attend, it's a fantastic opportunity to share experiences and connect with the other forum members.

Today we're attending the annual Qatar British Business Forum (QBBF) Winter Ball. We became a member of the QBBF in 2022, shortly after the opening of our office in Qatar. The forum is the perfect partnership for the team as it was established to promote and help trade between the UK and Qatar and provides support and networking opportunities for over 150 businesses. This annual event enables the team to connect with like-minded professionals in the region and to share knowledge and experience.

Are you interested in making a ➡meaningful⬅ contribution to diversity, equity and inclusion in the aviation industry? Do you work for a CANSO member? If the answer to both is yes then get in touch with me. CANSO has launched a new DEI workgroup and we need interested, motivated and proactive people to join and - as the image suggests - actually do something about it. We already have some excellent members but we need a diverse group. We need people of all ages, all experience, all regions..... We can't get meaningful insight into DEI issues without a range of voices. Comment below or message me if you want to join the group. It is an open door but be warned - the group can't be another talking shop. We need people with the time, enthusiasm and commitment to move the industry forward.

We made it to Doha a day early.    After 30 days of dedication and determination we successfully completed our distance challenge faster than we planned. We ran, swam, hiked and cycled the equivalent distance from our office in Bournemouth to our office in Doha - a total of 3,309 miles. We raised £1,892 in sponsorship which will go towards the running of the The Dorset Children's Foundation's new community hub. An amazing effort made by the whole team to support such an incredible charity in our local community.

We have been working with London Gatwick on its rapid exit taxiway (RET) project since 2016. Our involvement spans from the initial R&D stage all the way through to operational deployment. The new RET went live earlier this year and has delivered benefits in runway performance and operational resilience. During the last British Aviation Group Next Gen meeting, held at London Gatwick, we had the opportunity to see the RET in action and to hear firsthand from the senior project engineer how it has improved runway occupancy.
