2 years and 1 week (if we’re being super accurate) of me working at THIRTY4/7 Communications That’s 2 years of: 👩💻 Being fully remote (only been to our “office”/hub 3 times) 🎨 Production of 100s of deliverables which have been seen by 1000s of eyes 📈 Growth which is now reflected in my new title ⚡️ Contributing towards #greenerfuture and #renewableenergy It’s absolutely crazy how quickly this time has gone as I remember my first day so clearly that I would’ve thought it was yesterday! #workmilestone #workanniversary #graphicdesigner #graphicdesign #commmsagency #sustainability

  • 🎈 Happy Two Year Anniversary to our very own Gabriele N.! 🎉 👩🎨This month marks two years since Gabby joined the T47 team as our graphic designer - that time has flown by! 🖋️ Since joining, aside from 'doing the day job' of producing awesome designed material for our clients, Gabby has done wonders for our internal design process and managing our print and production requirements. 🍃 She has also spearheaded our drive for #sustainability through ensuring that we're using only the most eco-friendly practices and approaches to delivering our clients' print and display requirements. Happy Anniversary Gabby! 👏 #workiversary #team #design #celebrate

  • T47 is at the Western Gateway conference today in Newport. The team was pleased to hear Welsh Cabinet Minister Rebecca Evans’ keynote focus on the significant opportunities to accelerate the economic growth of Wales through the development of clean, green energy and the required infrastructure to deliver this. A reiteration of the message that #Renewables need to come forward at speed to decarbonise our energy system, however developers need to demonstrate that benefits are to be retained in Wales, ideally within the communities hosting these new projects. For these projects, Welsh Government is clear on the need to remove barriers to green growth. Lovely also to spot T4/7’s charity partners Stump Up For Trees in attendance, spreading the word! If you’re around this afternoon, get in touch with William Morgan and Toby Savage for a chat!

  • Team T4/7 had a blast today at Cardiff Arms Park for the Bute Energy Charity Touch Rugby tournament in aid of The DPJ Foundation and St David's Hospice Care. A great showing by the team, despite not quite making it to the final! Wonderful to see so many colleagues and friends across the day (on and off the pitch), and lovely to team up with Savills, Carter Jonas, and ERM to build the dream team. Thank you to Richard Lawrence, Biba Chuta and Michelle Byrne for all the organising, and well done to all the teams competing! #charity #team Rhys Govier Jonny Lewis

As the leaves start to turn, we often start thinking about trees (that's a royal we of course. Let's be honest, at SUFT, we're always thinking about trees!). Whilst minds are on the subject and before we start talking about our exciting plans for more of them this season we're absolutely delighted to share our 23/24 Impact Report. For a small charity like ours this is a big job and we're so proud of everything we achieved, we hope it comes across. If you have any feedback we're actively seeking it - there are definitely a few sections and additional data we'd like to include next year (more about our 12yr monitoring and management approach etc.) However, we hope we've met the balance between enough information and data overload! “You’ve got unlimited annual leave at your place? No way!” “I would just take a whole year off!” Probably the most common things I hear every time I tell someone that we have unlimited annual leave policy at T47. It’s an amazing perk and honestly more companies should adopt it. It allows me to take some mental health days and not feel guilty. Days to visit my family. Days to travel. Days to be a couch potato when the hormones hit and I just want to watch sad films with puppies and cry. Why don’t I take a whole year off? Firstly, I love what I do. Why would I not want to do it? Secondly, this kind of policy operates on respect and trust. Respect for your clients, colleagues and trust that you can manage your time. If you have a big project due and dip out - it’s your colleagues and clients who will suffer. And if you honestly don’t care, you’re in the wrong job! The market out there has companies offering “pension” as a benefit (which is a must by law). So when we have these companies here and there that genuinely offer benefits for the employees, it is our turn to not abuse them so more companies can follow their suit. #unlimitedannualleave #employeebenefits #corporateworld #graphicdesign #graphicdesigner

  • Just over a month ago Thirty4/7 held its first roundtable with the new look Bristol City Council leadership. Leader of BCC, Councillor Tony Dyer (Green) and Chair of Economy & Skills, Councillor Andrew Brown (Lib Dem) spoke to developers and key industry people from across the city and region, sharing insight into the new look council post transition to a committee system. Discussion covered the opportunities, for Bristol under a Green led council with a more co-operative committee system, the challenges they inherited and are facing going forward and the role industry can pave in driving Bristol forward.  Have a read of our blog for more information about the opportunities, challenges, and role of partnerships in navigating Bristol’s Future. 🌱 #Bristol #partnerships #challenges #opportunities  https://lnkd.in/etpy8bv9

  • 🎉Planning Application Approved!🎉 ☀️ This morning, we were delighted to see Birmingham City Council approve plans brought forward by Calthorpe Estates for a brownfield residential redevelopment at 29 Harrison’s Road, Edgbaston. 🗣️ T47 were appointed earlier this year to provide strategic communications and engagement with residents and councillors, and worked closely with the project team to ensure that the concerns of residents were recognised and acted upon, with significant changes made following community feedback. 🏠 The development will deliver 32 high-quality new homes, including 28 apartments and 4 townhouses, with a 9.4% affordable housing contribution offering a 30% market sale discount to promote a diverse and inclusive community in Edgbaston. 🌳 The project also provides an open green space and new planting for residents, alongside air-source heat pumps and EV charging points for each household, ensuring that sustainability is threaded throughout all aspects of the scheme. 🙌 A big thank you to the Calthorpe team and congratulations on your success! #CalthorpeEstates #Edgbaston #UrbanDevelopment #Residential #Sustainability #Homes Ralph Minott Billie Frain Elisabeth Pywell MRTPI Mark McFadden William Morgan Aaron Marchant Gabriele N.

    Head of Strategic Projects Development

It's a slightly more sedate start to the week and week ahead than last Monday! But it was great to have been up in Liverpool flying the THIRTY4/7 Communications flag. You can still read my colleague Aaron Marchant's analysis of the developments coming out of conference here: https://lnkd.in/eitx4ZKv Against the backdrop of continued positive mood music from the new government around the need to deliver new strategic infrastructure, it was great to catch up with lots of renewable energy and electricity transmission clients past, present and future. Other personal highlights included attending private reception ‘In Conversation With’ the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rachel Reeves, and Bristol North West MP and Chief Secretary to the Treasury Darren Jones. As well as listening to Newport West and Islwyn MP Ruth Jones talk about investment, innovation and infrastructure opportunities with the Western Gateway partnership. If you still want a post-conference debrief please feel free to drop me an email at zak.ivany@thirty47.co.uk
