Last week, we host a roundtable discussion, chaired by Simoney Kyriakou from FT Adviser , consolidators, national buyers, private equity companies and trade acquirers, they explained how their appetite for buying advice firms simply to achieve scale has disappeared. Despite any regulatory change, the roundtable still believed consolidation was still going to continue, and that private equity buyers would still be "very interested" in the advice sector. Saltus Partnership Holdings (“Saltus”) have announced the acquisition of Tavistock Partners Limited and Tavistock Partners (UK) Limited (“Tavistock”). Saltus engaged Thistle Initiatives' Mergers and Acquisitions team to assist with the regulatory due diligence on the Tavistock subsidiaries. The deal is conditional upon shareholder approval and receipt of FCA regulatory approval.
