Charity Event - For International Charity Day our NY and London offices took part in Pie in the Face Day and raised an impressive £330 for Church Homeless Charity and $191 for Coalition for the Homeless, Inc. 100K followers - We reached a new milestone on LinkedIn and reached 100k followers! We celebrated with some sweet treats. 👏🏼 Team👏🏼 Promotions are in the air! We are thrilled to a announce recent promotions within our UK office. 🇺🇸 Trends in the US Engineering Sector 🇺🇸   1️⃣ Massachusetts and Rhode Island Lead New England's Largest Offshore Wind Energy Selection:   Massachusetts and Rhode Island have jointly selected nearly 2.9 GW of offshore wind power in the largest selection in New England’s history, marking a major step toward clean energy. Massachusetts chose 2,678 MW from three projects, including SouthCoast Wind, while Rhode Island added 200 MW. These projects will create thousands of jobs, boost local economies, and significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, advancing the region's climate goals. This collaboration demonstrates the power of regional partnerships in accelerating the transition to renewable energy.   2️⃣ Virginia's Data Centre Growth Continues as Amazon Invests in New Facility:   Amazon has acquired land in Manassas, Virginia, to build a new data centre, expanding its cloud infrastructure for Amazon Web Services (AWS). The facility will boost local job creation and economic activity while supporting the company’s growing cloud computing needs. This investment reinforces Northern Virginia's role as a major data centre hub and highlights Amazon's commitment to meeting the increasing demand for cloud services in a competitive market.   3️⃣ Google Expands Carbon-Free Energy Portfolio with X-Elio Solar Project in Texas:   X-Elio and Google have signed a power purchase agreement for the entire output of the 128MW Bell solar plant in Texas, set to begin operations in 2025. The project includes a 100MW battery storage system, enhancing energy reliability. X-Elio is also working on social initiatives to benefit the local community. This partnership supports Google's goal of achieving 100% renewable energy for its operations by 2030, demonstrating how renewable infrastructure can address both corporate sustainability and community needs.
