Last Wednesday, Thorpe Park proudly supported SEA LIFE Trust’s 24-Hour Global Beach Clean to remove plastic and waste from our waterways!🌍 Our team collected numerous bags of rubbish to contribute to this important cause. Today, Thorpe Park proudly hosted the fifth annual UK Theme Park Awards where we took home an epic seven awards, and the coveted title of Theme Park of the Year!🥳 We'd love to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who voted for us!🥰    For the fifth year, the British public were able to vote for their favourite theme parks in the national awards, organised by ThemeParks-UK an independent consumer guide to UK theme parks🎢 367,441 public votes were combined with the scores from the judging panel to determine the winners in each category!🌟   Thorpe Park's seven super awesome awards are:  🥇🎢 Theme Park of The Year 🥇🎢 Best New Attraction - Hyperia 🥇🎢 Best Theme Park for Thrills 🥇🧸 Best New Entertainment - Stitches 🥇📱 Best Social Media Content 🥈📺 Best Marketing Campaign - Hyperia 🥉🕺 Best Reimagined Attraction - Big Easy Boulevard   Full list of awards and winners👉https://lnkd.in/d2m9vTXM

As the end of summer is fast approaching, we can’t help but reminisce over what an awesome summer it has been. We're thrilled to announce that out of all Merlin UK attractions, Thorpe Park won the internal ‘Greatest Place to Work and Play Competition’ for July!🥳 This monthly recognition highlights and celebrates attractions that excel in aligning both team member and guest best practices🌟 To make this summer even more spectacular, we created and launched an engaging plan to involve our teams in delivering the best guest experiences through the six Merlin Values – We Care, Own Your Craft, Drive and Discover, Go Together, Enjoy The Ride, Protecting The Magic. Each week, we gave the spotlight to one of our six Merlin Values and brought them to life through collaborative videos involving our team members recording top tips for our guests📽️ To make Thorpe Park an even greater place to work and play, throughout the summer and as part of our initiative, we hosted exciting competitions for our team members and adrenaline-pumping after-hours staff rides on our record-breaking rollercoasters and rides🎢 A big thank you to our leadership team who made this great incentive happen!🤩

Happy National Rollercoaster Day!🎢 To celebrate this thrilling day, we're proud to unveil breathtaking timelapse footage showcasing the extraordinary build of our golden Goddess, Hyperia, the UK's tallest, fastest and most weightless rollercoaster!🎢✨ Fun facts incoming! Hyperia's construction took a monumental 3,600 hours to complete and used over 5,000 nuts and bolts, plus 133 towering columns!🛠️ Standing at an incredible 236ft tall and reaching soaring speeds of over 80mph, Hyperia is unlike anything you would have experienced before!🤩 What's your fave part of this video? We think it's pure magic ✨
