We'd all like to think our colleagues could talk to us if they were struggling with their mental health, but would you know what to say in the moment? Talking about mental health can have a big impact on everyone involved, but having the conversation isn’t always easy—especially if it’s your first time. While there’s no ‘right’ way to approach it, the Mental Health Foundation have put together some helpful tips to guide you through those important discussions. Thrive Approach reposted this
Today I’m heading to the Tes SEND Show in London to share how the Thrive Approach transforms the lives of children and young people. As always, it is a young person who articulates the positive impact of Thrive best… “Thrive has helped me to manage my emotions. I can now regulate myself and I can use the strategies that I have learned to help other students who might find it difficult. Being a Thrive Ambassador means I can support students who may be having struggles with their emotional wellbeing,” - Thrive Ambassador, Meridian High School https://lnkd.in/e9mUaT28 #SEND #Education #School #MentalHealth #Wellbeing #Behaviour

On Friday, we had the pleasure of joining Bentley New Village Primary School to celebrate their well-deserved achievement of School of Excellence status. The atmosphere was vibrant as staff and pupils dressed in rainbow colours and indulged in delightful angel cakes to mark the occasion. The school's Inclusion Leader, Louise Wales, said of their Thrive journey: “We do work with some challenging children but we have a ‘never give up’ attitude. We want to give our children the skills to succeed in life beyond New Village. We’re so passionate and feel we’ve made a difference to our children’s experiences of school.” Our congratulations to you all 🎉 The event even caught the attention of the local media!
