This week, we welcomed Regina, our newest product developer, to the team 🌟 She'll be working her magic to make our ticketing platform (even) more loved, adding some game-changing features to improve our customer experience! And here's why we're over the moon to have her join the Ticket Tailor team... 1. Regina comes to us with developer experience from MagicInk. But before making the shift into tech, she worked in manufacturing at a brewery in Wales 🍻 As a team that loves to champion women in tech (and also loves a good beer), Regina ticks all the boxes. 2. She's looking forward to being part of a brand that puts people and the planet first, and she's "eager to learn from our talented developers and contribute to the mission!", which couldn't align with our values more 🌍 3. And, last but not least, having grown up in the iconic Brooklyn, Regina's our first New Yorker on the team–and she might just teach us a thing or two about our Event Creators across the pond! 🇺🇸 🗽 Stay tuned for more team intros and updates as we continue to grow. Next Friday, four of our Ticket Tailor team—María, Jake, Donald, and Tom—will be swapping their warm beds for sleeping bags in support of Hackney Night Shelter Sleep Out. Hackney Night Shelter has been providing emergency accommodation and support to people experiencing homelessness in our community since 1996. They run two independent shelters in Hackney (where the Ticket Tailor office is based). As a local business, we’re proud to back this incredible charity. Community fundraising events like this are essential to keep their doors open 365 nights a year, relying on people power and local grants to continue their vital work. We know that one night of sleeping out won’t replicate what it’s really like to face homelessness, but it’s a chance for us to raise awareness and funds to help keep the Shelter’s doors open all year round. Every penny donated will go towards giving people in our neighbourhood a safe place to sleep and the support they need to find a lasting route out of homelessness. What do you get when you combine stand-up paddleboards, iconic London canals, and litter pickers? Ticket Tailor's quarterly team social, of course 🏄 💧🗑️ On Tuesday, we paddled and picked our way along the Paddington Basin with Active360 (Think360 Sports Ltd) - It was such a unique experience to share as a team while giving back to the environment. We cleared the usual crisp packets, water bottles, and straws from the waterways.
