  • Stem cells and osteonecrosis Another fascinating example of the (possible) therapeutic role of #stemcells in #regenerativemedicine is their effect on #osteonecrosis ! Therefore, it’s worth considering to #cryopreserve (#fatbanking with a more fancy word) your fat / svf / stem cells as #bioassurance. For later. When you really need it. #webankfat #tissueandcelltechnologies

  • What‘s next? Developments in medical science have never happened at such a rapid pace. We at #TissueandCellTechnologies always say #webankfat because we master the #fatbanking technology, i.e. the technology to freeze and thaw #adiposetissue again with very high cell viability. Fifteen years ago, this was impossible. Now it is possible. In any case for us. Great progress is also being made with cryo-preserving muscle and cartilage cells. What's next? Brain tissue? https://lnkd.in/dq82UCAt

Did we talk already about our collection and transit kit? The fully validated collection and transit kit is: - safe and protective during the max 72 hours time we have to transport the adipose tissue samples from the patient to our laboratories - insulated in such a way that even adipose tissue samples collected at Southern European countries stay the entire transit within the optimal temperature range - containing a data tracker giving is the possibility to keep full control over the transport conditions - courier safe - contains all collection bags, connectors, etc. (which are all compatible with almost all market leading liposuction equipment and consumables) - includes clinical documentation, traceability assurance and instructions for use in most local languages. Furthermore, all components, connectors, bags, etc. are CE marked medical devices. The kit contains 3 collection bags of 600 ml each. When the harvest exceeds 1.8 Liters, a second kit is used in order to guarantee maintaining optimal transit conditions. And last but not least, the kit will be collected and returned by our dedicated courier, Robert Clarke ! #TissueandCellTechnologies #fatbanking #webankfat #adiposetissue

  • Fatbanking as bio-insurance …. Considering liposuction? Here's a deeper dive into why it could be a smart investment for both present and future needs. Picture this: you undergo liposuction to contour your abdomen or thighs. While the immediate results are satisfying, what if I told you that the extracted fat could serve a dual purpose? First off, by storing this adipose tissue, you're essentially creating a personal reservoir of fat and stem cells readily available for potential future use. Whether it's for aesthetic enhancements like buttock augmentation or facial rejuvenation, or for reconstructive purposes such as breast reconstruction after mastectomy or correcting asymmetry, having your own fat banked can be incredibly valuable. Let's break it down with some examples. Say you undergo liposuction and later decide you want a fuller, more youthful face. Instead of turning to synthetic fillers, your stored fat can be utilized for natural, long-lasting results. Similarly, if you face a medical condition like breast cancer requiring mastectomy, your stored fat and stem cells can be used for autologous breast reconstruction, offering both physical and emotional benefits. Moreover, consider the unpredictability of life. You never know what health challenges or aesthetic desires may arise in the future. By banking your fat and stem cells now, you're essentially future-proofing your body. Whether it's combating age-related volume loss or addressing unforeseen medical needs, having your own fat reserves provides a sense of security and versatility. In essence, liposuction isn't just about immediate transformation; it's about investing in yourself for the long haul. By harnessing the potential of your own adipose tissue, you're empowering yourself with options and flexibility for whatever the future may hold. #tissueandcelltechnologies #fatbanking #webankfat #bioinsurance #liposuction

  • Stem cells and lipografting …. Stem cells rejuvenate. Yes indeed, but how? In lipografting, stem cells play a vital role in the process of transferring fat from one part of the body to another for cosmetic or reconstructive purposes. These stem cells, typically found in adipose (fat) tissue, help enhance the survival and integration of the transferred fat by promoting new blood vessel formation and tissue regeneration in the recipient site. Additionally, they contribute to the long-term stability and natural appearance of the grafted fat. There may be many more, as yet unexplained mechanisms, according to which stem cells have a rejuvenating effect on recipient tissue! #TissueandCellTechnologies #stemcells #fatbanking #webankfat #lipografting

  • Fatbanking lowers the costs of a multi-staged lipografting Multistage lipografting is relatively expensive. Why? It requires several times of OR time, commitment of several hours of plastic surgeon and anaesthesiologist, several times of medical devices, several times of risk of complications, etc. When fatbanking is used, just one liposuction is necessary. So only one OR. Of course, our fatbanking service also costs money, but these costs are more than offset by the savings in OR use alone. Using fatbanking in multistage breast reconstruction or augmentation reduces the cost of the operation by thousands of euros! Fatbanking actually lowers the cost of the operation! We would like to calculate this once, together with you, for your specific situation in your clinic or hospital! You will be amazed! #TissueandCellTechnologies #fatbanking #webankfat #lipografting

The history of fat grafting ..... We often write here about fat grafting, in particular fatbanking. You should expect nothing less from the only company in the world that can freeze and then thaw large volumes of adipose tissue, with a large majority of fat cells surviving! In our search for information about lipografting, we found on the website of the Belgian plastic surgeons Filip Stillaert and Koenraad Van Landuyt a very interesting description of the history of fat grafting. Worth reading! The link to this website: https://lnkd.in/esZyjHir We expect fatbanking to be the next „game changer“ in this history. In any case, this article is a gem and we did not want to withhold it from you ....... #TissueandCellTechnologies #fatbanking #webankfat #lipografting The first ‘fat grafting’ procedure dates back to the late 19th century, 1893, when the German Plastic Surgeon on the photo, Gustav Neuber (1850-1932) transferred fat from the arm to the orbital (eye) region to correct scars formed from osteomyelitis (bone infection).
