Last weekend it was an absolute pleasure to do a keynote fireside chat at the inaugural TN Naija conference “Connect & Ignite”. I’m a big believer in community and being part of a network that supports and elevates. I also have a passion for nurturing tech talent and believe that people are key to any successful strategy. I met so many talented technologists at the event and it cannot be understated how much of an impact Global Talent plays in the success of UK organisations. Some of the key themes I shared were: - Community: be part of a community of like minded professionals who support each other. - Mentoring: find a mentor who is successful in your field and can help you navigate the path to success. - Sponsorship: find a sponsor who speaks for you in the rooms you don’t yet have access to. Thanks to the organisers Dele Bakare Damilare Ogunleye Yanju L. for organising a wonderful event and thanks to Peace Itimi for a great interview. #globaltalent #blackintech

This year, I have attended a couple of high-impact tech conferences and meetups, thanks to Ebenezer Don who has shared most of them with me. Last weekend was one of those incredible moments where I had the opportunity to network with the amazing and fast-growing community of Nigerian UK global talents at the inaugural TN Naija event, titled "Connect & Ignite: Building Prosperity through Collaboration and Community”, at Queen Mary University of London. It felt so great to reunite with fellow Andelans, we had quality conversations about career and life in the UK in general. As one whose tech journey was inspired by a tech meetup, I will always advocate for it. It gives one the opportunity to draw from the experiences of those who have been there, while also building relevant connections, to say the least.
