✅ The government has made clear the need to scale up #offshorewind development to deliver at least an additional 12GW to meet #CleanPower2030 targets. This commitment is reflected in the government's ongoing CfD #consultation and recent announcement of cooperation with the Irish government to boost offshore wind in the Celtic Sea. 💡 In this fast-paced environment discussions on #infrastructureplanning for offshore wind is timely, and we are pleased to be attending #OffshoreWind25. It promises to be another hugely successful event by Waterfront Conference Company. ⏩ ✳️ If you are attending, please reach out to Paul Rogers, who would be pleased to meet you there. #renewables #windpower

We love this footage from Toyota (GB) plc's new Media Experience Centre! tor&co assisted in gaining permission for the project, which has extensive sustainability credentials and is water neutral using state of the art water recycling equipment including automatically recycling water used for the washing of vehicles. Operated by MSL Global Ltd, the facility stores, maintains, and prepares vehicles for the Toyota and Lexus brands ready for delivery to UK media. #planning #development #sustainability https://lnkd.in/e-BBqMw4

tor&co reposted this
✅ A really worthwhile first day at #NSIPs25 for tor&co, full of insights and experiences across sectors and organisations about #infrastructureplanning Given the government's commitment to determining 150 #NSIPs in this Parliament. The mood is generally positive, though issues remain with the #consenting process which could slow delivery. ⏩ A few takeaways and observations: ☀️ There is plenty to come this year with the 10-year #infrastructure strategy, the Planning and Infrastructure Bill, the establishment of NISTA in April, and the Industrial Strategy all imminent. 🚰 The Planning Inspectorate are committed to improvements, including more customer focus and better resource management through earlier assignment and prioritisation. 🚄 There is still a benefit to long-term policies and regional and #spatialplanning for infrastructure, both to encourage investment and maximise efficiencies in connecting clustered projects. 🛳️ The Working Paper might not go far enough in solving the most prevalent issues in #infrastructuredelivery, such as proportionality in consultation and documentation. ✈️ There is a huge value in early #engagement with PINS, local authorities and #communities, to as wide an extent as possible. Many thanks to Waterfront Conference Company

We are very pleased to have worked with Black Box Planning in providing #heritage input to this #PlanningAppeal, the success of which can now allow delivery of much-needed #selfbuild / #custombuild homes and #affordablehousing to the village. It was surprising to receive the decision barely 3 weeks after the hearing too! #Planning #ResidentialDevelopment #SouthWest
We are delighted to have secured planning permission at appeal for 17 new dwellings (10 self-build/custom-build and 7 affordable homes) in Staunton and Corse, Gloucestershire, alongside improvements to the village pub. The site comprises The Swan Inn, the last remaining pub in the village, and an adjacent agricultural field. It is located immediately adjacent to the Staunton and Corse Conservation Area which is associated with the historic Chartist Settlement established by Feargus O'Connor in the 1840s. The key matters considered at appeal were whether the site was an appropriate location for development, the impact of development on designated heritage assets including the Conservation Area and nearby listed buildings, as well as the potential impact on Protected Species. It was pleasing that the appeal Inspector agreed with our submissions that the site was sustainably located for the scale of development proposed, and that the proposals would not result in unacceptable harm to the conservation area or nearby listed buildings. The inspector additionally found that the proposals could come forward without impact to protected species (Great Crested Newts). The Council's land supply position, as well as self-build and affordable housing need and delivery rates within the District, were also discussed at the hearing. A fantastic decision helping those looking to design or build their own home in the Forest of Dean, as well as supporting a key community asset that has been through challenging times. Appeal Ref APP/P1615/W/24/3353011 Our thanks to those who assisted on the appeal case including Dr James Weir, Ros Willder and Fergus Charlton.
