Our next charity event will be a Clay Pigeon Shoot on 17th October at Holland & Holland in London in support of the Chandran Foundation. This charity carries out some incredible work in schools, giving young people opportunities to help them to reach their full potential. We strongly agree that children should be defined by their potential not by their circumstances. CF's work helps to foster change and has enormous societal benefits. We are proud to support the foundation’s activities and to sponsor this event because many more schools need their programmes to help bridge the attainment gap. Everyone’s hard work has paid off! We are delighted that the new Heather House Community Hub in Sittingbourne has been officially opened by the Mayor of Swale, Ben Jonathan Martin. 🍾👏 Our teams did a brilliant job helping us to donate the time, skills and materials needed to refurbish a disused building to transform it into a very needed community hub, café and food bank. We were represented at the opening by CEO Warren Wright and Group Strategy Director James Haigh, who were immensely humbled to find that the function facilities have been named the Trail Suite in our honour. Warren said: “Our sincere thanks to our client mhs homes who introduced us to this project. We were delighted to be able to help and contribute. Trail Group has been awarded places on TWO lots on the new national Procurement Services Framework for Property Refurbishment, Maintenance and Management. This procurement body is one of the leading suppliers of products and services to the public sector, including local government, schools and colleges, NHS trusts, housing associations, the care sector and the emergency services. Our awarded lots are: 👷♂️ Lot 1 – Property Refurbishment Services – which includes electrics, building repairs, external cladding and fascias, roofing repairs, plumbing and heating. 👷♂️ Lot 2 – Property Maintenance and Repair Services – such as maintenance of fire alarms and sprinklers, pest control, electrical testing and services, damp surveys, plumbing maintenance and repairs, as well as general building maintenance. We have expanded our work with housing provider, RHP Group, having provided passive fire protection services since 2021 – fire stopping and fire doors. Trail Electrical recently carried out the replacement of all communal lighting to nine five-storey residential blocks in Hounslow Heath. This project has upgraded the emergency lighting to LED, which is more sustainable and cost efficient. Our engineers installed integral movement sensors, so lights no longer have to remain on from dusk until dawn, reducing running costs and improving RHP’s carbon footprint. Following the success of this contract, we are now working with the client to roll this out across multiple sites. RHP Group owns and manages over 10,000 homes, operating across the London boroughs of Richmond, Hounslow, Kingston and Hillingdon. Here is our latest video which spotlights one of the projects we carried out at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital led by our project manager, Alan Tunesi. We have worked for the Trust since 2021 and our construction, electrical and fire protection teams have undertaken a wide range of maintenance, upgrading and refurbishment projects in that time. In this video, Alan looks at one of those projects successfully delivered for the Trust.
