In our latest Insight Article, Dr Stuart Thomson, Founder of CWE Communications, explains why transport is the highlight of the Government's first 100 days in power. "Even before the general election, Labour was acutely aware of the need to make an impact during its first 100 days in government, if it were to win. Plans were drawn up and preparations made. But by October 12, which marked the first 100 days of the Starmer Government, little seemed to have gone right, apart from in transport." Click here to read more https://bit.ly/3NGFdjp

In our latest Insight article, Anthony Smith, Chair of the Heathrow Area Transport Forum puts forward the case for Heathrow Southern Railway - a privately financed proposal for Southern Access to Heathrow Airport. "Air travel is booming. Heathrow is having day after day of record passenger numbers. While there are some headwinds on consumer sensitivity to price – Michael O'Leary, Ryanair boss, recently said consumers will only travel 'at a price' – air travel looks set to keep soaring. I am the independent chair of the Heathrow Area Transport Forum ('HATF'). This statutory group was formed in 1995 but mandated at the time of the initial discussions around a third runway. We bring together all the major stakeholders with an interest in surface access – TfL, airlines, taxis, local authorities, the airport and others. Our main objectives this year are to boost bus travel, tackle off airport nuisance parking and help garner consensus around the Heathrow Southern Railway project." In our latest Insight article, Octopus Electric Vehicles CEO and member of the Council for Net Zero Transport, Fiona Howarth discusses the misinformation and disinformation around electric vehicles. "Electric Vehicles are now, without a shadow of a doubt, part of the zeitgeist. They are no longer fringe, nor niche, they are part of popular culture. Adoption, although currently facing some obstacles, will only continue to increase – globally. As an engineer by background, an innate problem solver, I like to back my arguments with facts. Fiction should be reserved for holiday reading lists. The biggest hurdle that we currently face is both misinformation and disinformation." Read our latest insight article here https://bit.ly/3BrrH0b

In our latest insight article, 👍🏼Marcus Mayers and Prof David Bamford explore whether we are at the Dawn of a transport revolution. "The Industrial Revolution ignited our capacity to generate vast amounts of power, exploiting energy stored in fossil fuels. Our addiction to burning fossil fuels over the past 200 years is well-documented, and whilst the green credentials of shared transport assets such as trains and coaches more than offset the actual carbon footprint of electric vehicles (EVs), this doesn't really 'feel' right in the 21st Century."
