Amidst the ongoing financial fair play proceedings in relation to Manchester City FC, an award has been handed down in the separate arbitration proceedings brought by the club challenging the Premier League's rules concerning Associated Party Transactions (APT Rules). The tribunal found, inter alia, that two aspects of the Premier League’s APT Rules breach UK competition law, meaning that the APT Rules will now need to be amended by the Premier League and its clubs.
