Shinsegae Duty Free has announced the opening of its new shopping destination on the west side of Incheon Airport’s Terminal 2, the “Shinsegae Zone”, officially unveiled with the launch of a multi-fashion store and a beauty shop in September. Located in front of the Korean Air Lounge, Shinsegae Duty Free (Shinsegae DF) said the Shinsegae Zone, spanning a total area of 2,107sq m, represents a high-end experiential shopping space showcasing its expertise in merchandise. Shinsegae DF said it plans to open a duplex store featuring top-tier house brands at the west entrance of Incheon Airport in the first half of next year, anticipating the Shinsegae Zone will become a premier luxury shopping destination. #trbusiness #dutyfree #travelretail

Shiseido Travel Retail has introduced Le Sel D’Issey, a new men’s fragrance from Issey Miyake, into global travel retail following a successful July preview. Shiseido has also launched an animation campaign across travel retail in Europe and the Americas to accompany the launch, with key locations including: the US; Mexico; UK; Italy; Spain; Finland; Germany; Austria; Belgium and the Netherlands. Henkell Freixenet is introducing new product developments from several of its sparkling wine brands at this year’s TFWA (Tax Free World Association) Exhibition & Conference in Cannes. Henkell Freixenet (Henkell) is pushing the Prosecco category and targeting growth by focusing on premiumisation as its portfolio in the GTR channel increases. Speaking at the 40th anniversary celebration of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Lawrence Wong announced plans for updated capacity, innovation and job creation at Singapore Changi Airport. Wong highlighted how the Singapore government was working closely with several international partners to ‘liberalise’ the nation’s airspace, allowing for an expanded aviation network which he hoped would serve over 200 destinations by 2035.
