  • A&M FREE FLOW Reverse Current Valves were first manufactured in 1929. They are designed to give maximum protection to extraction steam turbines. Their rapid, tight closure ensures that the high level of energy found in feedwater heaters or process lines is quickly isolated from the turbine in the event of a load rejection. The photos here show a 36-inch pressure class 150 A&M FREE FLOW Reverse Current Valve. The valve is made of cast carbon steel ASTM A216 Grade WCB. It was installed as a non-return valve in a district heating steam application. As one of Trillium Flow Technologies' innovative legacy brands, Atwood & Morrill is proud to be a pioneer in valve design engineering in power generation, oil and gas, and petrochemicals.
