Water insecurity in urban areas of the Philippines is a growing challenge due to decreasing water availability, rapid urbanization, the impacts of climate change, and pollution. To address this, the 'Climate-Resilient Integrated Urban Water Resources Management' initiative is being launched – a game-changer for strengthening the country’s capacity to manage urban water resources sustainably! and our IGR team is working on this exciting intervention. This initiative will provide technical assistance to national and local governments, along with key water operators, to develop climate-responsive water infrastructure solutions. Triple Line was excited to hear from FCDO at their Supplier Partner meeting this week in Addis. The group discussed recent macroeconomic reforms and the challenges faced by partners in delivery efforts, and sought to foster collaboration. The FCDO Development Director highlighted the embassy's focus on humanitarian assistance, peace and conflict resolution, support for economic reforms, and ongoing challenges in health, education, and WASH.
