Cybercriminals have been identified sending phishing emails purporting to be CrowdStrike support and impersonating CrowdStrike staff in phone calls, according to Infosecurity Magazine Along with Phishing scams, you should be mindful when clicking on any internet links, especially when you’ve gone to the webpage by choice. Think before you click: • Hovering your mouse over a link will reveal its true destination. So the world is ending the week with what could be the largest internet outage of all time. Not a great time for those involved in the clean up! True MSP do not supply the product which has caused this issue so our client are unaffected unless any of their 3rd party applications are running on systems using CrowdStrike. Disasters can strike at any moment and while the cloud is the future, all tech has it weaknesses. An unforeseen power cut, human error, or a software crash can take out key systems. Even the best plans can't avoid all outages, but rest assured if you are affected by this the IT team looking into this issue won't be sleeping until it's fully resolved.
