Although tomorrow is World Suicide Prevention Day, I'm already planning ahead to next month and World Mental Health Day on October 10th. In recognition of #WMHD, The Jordan Legacy CIC is hosting a special event at North Yorkshire The Police Treatment Centres in Harrogate. "Mind in Unity – fostering good mental health through collaboration" is an invitation to businesses, schools & education centres, organisations and groups and individuals to be part of the solution when it comes to improving mental health and preventing suicides in the community. Although the event is being held in Yorkshire and discusses issues of suicide and mental health relating to this region, really, these issues impact all communities and this event welcomes anyone who would like to attend. 👉Tickets are restricted to a maximum of 50 places. We are delighted to have made another donation to Wetherby & District Foodbank today, with the total weight of the donation coming in at 195.65kg which equates to approximately 400 meals!🍽️ We started the afternoon at Aldi in Wetherby where the staff had kindly organised our donation in advance after we gave them the foodbank’s current wish list. We then loaded the cars up & drove to the warehouse to drop the items off for the volunteers to weigh in and sort. A big thank you to our whole networking group who made this possible through their ongoing memberships!
