We are thrilled to have hosted our very first industry summit! The day brought together academics, industry experts and AI business leaders to dive into the challenges facing the fashion industry and explore how we can come together to use 4.0 technology to overcome adversities such as climate change. From learning about the current research projects shaping innovation to seeing cutting-edge technology accessible for the fashion industry to use today, the interactive talks offered a look into how the sector can move from its outdated processes to advanced technology, with a range of use cases. At TIC, it’s our mission to connect the AI industry and foster cross-sector collaboration to supercharge Greater Manchester’s economic growth, so it was amazing to be able to create a forum for these discussions to come to fruition. This year, we’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with a whole host of founders, taking them through cohort one of our AI accelerator, delivered in partnership with Capital Enterprise. Last Wednesday, in a packed-out room full of leading figures from Greater Manchester’s innovation ecosystem, we witnessed some of those founders pitch their startups, take us through product demos, and share their experiences as part of a panel discussion. Plus Tom Cheesewright took to the stage for a keynote speech exploring the future of AI and the growing pace of innovation. It's been fantastic to watch them progress over the last six months, all culminating in a hugely successful Demo Day!
