As part of our long-standing partnership with the University of Reading, our Senior Cost Manager, Jean Gregory, recently delivered a client briefing for the third year students of the ‘Project QS’ module. The project involves the redevelopment of an existing retail unit, which the students have to re-design and cost. As part of the Autumn term assignment deliverables, the students must provide general arrangements of their proposed design, an indicative cost estimate, a procurement strategy report, and a presentation to their fellow students on their new proposals. We are extremely proud of our relationship with the University of Reading and will support the project and students by providing industry insight, attending the end-of-term presentations, and shedding light on what’s involved in the procurement and costing process. #CostManagement #QuantitySurveying #IndustryPartnership #UniversityofReading
